Coronavirus: Libya records Six new deaths, 411 infections in 24 hours

Tripoli, Libya, August 16 (Infosplusgabon) - A total of 411 new coronavirus infections have been detected in Libya in the last 24 hours, the National Centre for Disease Control announced on Sunday, reporting six deaths and 46 cases cured in the country.

In a statement on Sunday, the Centre said the figures emerged after testing 3,210 samples, adding that the results produced 2,799 negative samples and 411 positive ones, including 222 new cases of infection and 189 cases of contact with previous patients.

The total number of confirmed coronavirus infections in Libya rose to 7,738 cases, of which 6,699 are still active, 894 cured and 145 died.
