Coronavirus: Libya records 161 new infections to bring total to 4,224

Tripoli, Libya, August 5 (Infosplusgabon) - Libya has recorded 161 new cases of coronavirus, the National Centre for Disease Control has announced, adding that three deaths and eight recoveries have also been recorded.

In a statement issued on Tuesday evening, the Centre said it received 1,047 samples for testing, of which 929 were negative and 161 positive made up of 71 new cases and 90 cases of contact with previously infected patients.

This brings the total number of confirmed infections recorded in Libya to 4,224 cases, including 633 recoveries and 96 deaths.
