Coronavirus: Togo has 720 confirmed cases

Lomé, Togo, July 13 (Infosplusgabon) - Togo had 720 confirmed cases of coronavirus on Sunday after the detection of two new cases.

The two newly-infected patients are among the 301 suspected cases tested on Sunday.

They are, according to the National Coordination for the Management of the Pandemic Response of COVID-19, a 13-year-old girl in the prefecture of Vo (South-East) and a 46-year-old man in Sokodé (Central Region).

The number of cured cases rose to 513 after 7 new cures of patients, while a total of 15 patients have already died from the virus. 192 cases are still under treatment.

Togo has maintained a state of health emergency, and will authorize, from Friday 17 July, the partial reopening of a limited number of churches and mosques throughout the country on an experimental basis.
