Coronavirus: 39 new imported cases registered in Tunisia

Tunis, Tunisia, July 13 (Infosplusgabon) - The Tunisian Ministry of Health announced in a statement released Monday that as of July 12, 2020, 39 cases of imported coronavirus have been detected out of a total of 577 tests performed in the country's laboratories.

 

This is the first time that such a high number of people infected with the new virus have been recorded in Tunisia after a period when positive cases ranged from zero to a few.

 

The communiqué does not specify the source of the new COVID-19 infections.

 

The number of confirmed cases has thus risen to 1,302, of which 1,082 people have recovered and 170 patients are still carrying the virus and are still under observation. The number of deaths remains unchanged at 50.
