Malian defence forces neutralise six terrorists

Bamako, Mali, June 25 (Infosplusgabon) - Six terrorists were neutralized and around twenty captured on Tuesday near Nyan village, in Bandiagara district of Mopti region in central Mali by the Malian defense forces, who also seized weapons and motorcycles, Infosplusgabon learned from a security source.

The defence forces were on patrol in several villages of Mopti region when they found  two vehicles carried away by unidentified armed men during the attack on the gendarmerie security post at Wo, near Bandiagara.

The prisoners were taken to the gendarmerie for investigations, the source said, adding that the terrorists were involved in cattle rustling and looting in villages.

They also spread terror among the populations, preventing them from work on their fields.
