Coronavirus: Guinea records 70 new cases

Conakry, Guinea, June 25 (Infosplusgabon) - Guinea recorded 70 new cases of coronavirus on Wednesday out of 651 samples tested, the National Health Safety Agency (ANSS) announced in its daily bulletin.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 5,174 since the first case was detected on 12 March.

During the same period, ANSS declared 117 people recovered, bringing the number to 3,861 while there are 29 deaths.

Thirty patients, 10 of whom require intensive care, are currently in the resuscitation room.

The government decided on Tuesday to release nearly 9 billion CFA francs in the run-up to phase 2 of the fight against the virus.
