Liberia sets October date for new football season

Monrovia, Liberia, June 22 (Infosplusgabon) - The Liberia Football Association (LFA) has set October 24 for the kickoff of the 2020/21 football season.

The LFA announced on Monday that the decision was taken at a meeting of stakeholders, during which participants settled on the date taking into consideration many internal and external factors.

According to the LFA president, Mustapha Raji, the registration period is expected to run from 3 August to 4 October, with further details to be announced in due course.

The 2019-20 top flight season was cancelled by the LFA due to the COVID-19 with all results nullified, meaning no champions declared nor relegation to the second-tier.
