Dakar, Senegal, June 22 (Infosplusgabon) - Senegalese Minister of Sports, Matar Bâ, has won the African Development Award (PADEV) in the sector of civil society organizations from 12 countries including the 225 Foundation, a humanitarian NGO founded in Ouagadougou in 2012.

He will be honoured as 'Best African Sports Manager', an official statement from the Senegalese Sports ministry said.

PADEV was created in 2006 in Abidjan with the aim of working towards the establishment of a culture of work, merit and excellence as the cardinal values of African society.

The award will be presented to the Senegalese Minister, as well as the other laureates, at a ceremony to be held on 19 July in Kigali, Rwanda, in the presence of African political and diplomatic actors, economic operators, financial institutions and decision-makers.

This distinction is awarded annually to "natural or legal persons whose works in their respective sectors of activity by their quality and impact are models of contribution to the development of their country, and hence Africa," according to the statement issued by the Senegalese Ministry of Sports.
