Coronavirus: Two more patients succumb to virus in Zimbabwe

Harare, Zimbabwe, June 21 (Infosplusgabon) - Zimbabwe has recorded two more coronavirus (COVID-19) deaths over the past day bringing the total number of fatalities related to the virus to six as confirmed cases rise to 486 owing to returning residents.

"Today, we regret to report two deaths, one is a facility death and the other is a community death, both females aged 70 and 60 respectively," said the Ministry of Health and Child Care in a statement.

"The facility death is from Bulawayo Province who tested positive on the 17th of June 2020 and has other co-morbidities whilst the community death is from Midlands Province who tested positive for COVID-19 following routine swabbing on the 19th of June 2020," it said.

The total number of COVID-19 tests done to date is 62,397.
