Coronavirus: Nigeria records 587 new cases bringing total number to 17,735

Abuja, Nigeria, June 18 (Infosplusgabon) – Nigeria on Wednesday recorded 587 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) bringing the total number of infections to 17,735.

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), via its official Twitter handle, said 11,229 are active cases, 5,967 have been treated and discharged while the death toll is 469.

In addition, NCDC said that 103,799 samples had been collected from 35 States of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
