Kigali, Rwanda, June 16 (Infosplusgabon) - Rwanda's number of confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) cases increased by 30 to hit 612 after the ministry of Health announced new measures to control the disease.

Overall, new daily infection numbers have been increasing in Rwanda in the last three days while the number of recoveries has remained relatively stable.

Earlier this month, Rwanda eased its countrywide lockdown but parts of Rusizi in the southwest and Rubavu in the northwest remain in total lockdown until further notice.

In these remote rural districts, public servants and private operators must work from home, except those offering essential services, a government statement said.

Movements across the country are still prohibited from 9 pm to 5 am in line with the curfew imposed to limit the spread of the disease.
