Tunisian Salem Hamdi re-elected head of Arab Atomic Energy Agency

Tunis, Tunisia, June 15 (Infosplusgabon) - Tunisian Salem Hamdi was re-elected for a second, four-year term (until February 2025) as head of the Arab Atomic Energy Agency (AAEA), at the 32nd session of the agency's general conference held on Sunday in Yemen.

 

 

 

According to a press release from the Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the re-election of the Tunisian is the result of efforts carried out in concert with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to strengthen the presence of Tunisian skills within specialized international and regional organizations.

 

Based in Tunisia since 1989, the AAEA is a scientific organization belonging to the League of Arab States. It is interested in the peaceful uses of nuclear energy, its development and technological applications.
