Coronavirus: Congo records 104 new confirmed cases

Brazzaville, Congo, June 15  (Infosplusgabon) - The Congolese Ministry of Health and Population announced in Brazzaville that the country recorded 104 new confirmed cases of coronavirus on Monday, with 130 cured and one death.

According to the epidemiological assessment made in the Congolese capital by the national technical coordinator of the response against COVID-19, Dr Gilbert Ndziessi, Congo currently has 883 positive cases, 391 cured and 27 deaths.

The Congolese capital, Brazzaville, and Pointe-Noire, the main economic and industrial center in the south of the country, respectively have 507 cases and 353 cases confirmed.

Eight of the country's 12 departments are affected by the pandemic. Northern Congo with five departments totals only two cases confirmed to COVID-19.
