COVID-19: Senegal records 80 recoveries, four deaths

Dakar, Senegal, June (Infosplusgabon) - Senegal recorded 80 recoveries and four deaths from  coronavirus besides 83 new cases on Monday, the Ministry of Health and Social Action announced at its daily briefing on the epidemiological situation.

According to the ministry, 83 of the 1,254 tests were positive to coronavirus, representing 64 contact cases being treated and 19 cases from community transmission.

In addition, 80 patients tested negative and were discharged, said the ministry announcing that the four deaths brought to 64 the total fatalities caused by Covid-19.

To date, Senegal has 5173 positive cases, 3,424 recovered and 1,684 are still under treatment.
