Coronavirus: Benin records a 7th death from virus

Cotonou, Benin, June 15 (Infosplusgabon) - Benin has recorded its seventh death due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a statement from the Minister of Health has announced.

Benin has a total of 470 confirmed cases with 235 people on treatment and 228 patients cured, the statement issued on Sunday said.

Benin recorded its first case of infection on 16 March.

The Beninese government has constantly called on people through several channels to respect health measures, including barriers - systematic hand washing with soap and water, wearing a mask in all places, respecting the minimum one metre of safety distance - to reduce the spread of coronavirus.
