Coronavirus: Burkina Faso recorded no deaths in the past 4 weeks

Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, June 12 (Infosplusgabon) - Burkina Faso has not recorded any case of death linked to the coronavirus disease during the last four weeks, Dr Brice Bicaba coordinator of the ''health'' sectoral committee to fight against the pandemic, announced on Friday.

"During the past 4 weeks, we have not recorded any case of death," Dr. Bicaba said at a press briefing, adding that as of June 11, 2020, no confirmed cases of coronavirus or of deaths have been recorded. The number of deaths remains at 53 since the start of the pandemic.

Eight new cured cases, bringing the number of recoveries to 799 were recorded.

Burkina Faso has 891 confirmed cases of coronavirus since March 9.
