Tunis, Tunisia, June 7 (Infosplusgabon) - The 3rd edition of the Mediterranean Documentary Film Festival in Tunisia (DocuMed), scheduled to hold from 8 to 21 June, will be a digital edition this year because of the global health crisis of the Covid19, the organizers said.

Organized annually by the Tunisian Documentary Cinema Association, this edition will feature 26 productions and co-productions from 15 countries: Italy, France, Spain, Morocco, Greece, Tunisia, Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Lebanon, Germany, Algeria, Libya, Egypt, Switzerland, and Portugal.

The subjects covered by the films participating in this edition are devoted to societal and political issues as well as anthropological and cultural aspects of the region, as well as issues related to the defense of the rights of marginalized minorities, human relations with the environment, etc.

Created in 2018 in Tunisia, DocuMed's main aim is to promote documentary cinema among Tunisians and to encourage exchanges between professionals, creators, and the public in a spirit of openness to anthropological, cultural, and social diversity.
