Tripoli, Libya, June  7 (Infosplusgabon) - The Libyan Foreign Minister of the Government of National Accord (GNA), Mohamed Taher Siala, on Saturday discussed developments in Libya with his Tunisian and Algerian counterparts, Noureddine Erray and Sabri Boukadoum, respectively.

A statement by the GNA Foreign Ministry said that Mr. Siala had two separate telephone conversations with Mr. Erray and Mr. Boukadoum, "in the context of full consultation and coordination of positions between Libya, Tunisia, and Algeria".

The statement added that Mr. Siala informed both Ministers of the latest developments on the ground and political developments in Libya.

The Libyan military scene has undergone a rapid change in recent days with the defeat of the Haftar camp driven out of the entire western region after its expulsion from the capital Tripoli, while the forces of the GNA are stepping up military pressure and are in the suburbs of the city of Sirte (center).

On the political level, contacts on all fronts are continuing between the various foreign countries involved in the Libyan crisis and with the belligerents with a view to resuming talks for a negotiated solution.

On Friday, the Foreign Ministry affirmed GNA's willingness "to extend its security control throughout Libya to manage the political process away from the threat of firearms," according to the ministry's spokesman, Mohamed al-Geblawi.

In a statement, Mr al-Geblawi welcomed GNA's takeover of all the administrative borders of the capital, Tripoli, and the southern city of Tarhouna "without bloodshed".
