Coronavirus: Rwanda's positive cases rise to 420

Kigali, Rwanda, June 6 (Infosplusgabon) - Rwanda’s confirmed cases of coronavirus have risen to 420 after heath authorities reported 10 new cases, according to an official update obtained on Saturday in Kigali.

Earlier this week, Rwandan officials announced new imported cases traced to districts located on the border with neighbouring Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), pushing authorities to maintain total lockdown measures in these remote rural areas in western Rwanda.

The update said 282 people have recovered while two have died from the disease.

Earlier this week, Rwanda eased lockdown measures in the country, but parts of Rusizi in the southwest and Rubavu in the northwest will remain in total lockdown until further notice.
