Internally Displaced Persons site affected by floods in Burkina Faso

Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, June 6 (Infosplusgabon) - A site for internally displaced persons, in the province of Bam, in north-central Burkina Faso, was affected on Friday by floods that left 17 people injured, an official statement said.

The wounded - eight children, seven women and two men - assisted by the the Ministry of Women, National Solidarity, Family and Humanitarian Action, were immediately taken to health facilities, the statement said.

The Burkinabè government has reaffirmed its firm commitment to alleviate the suffering of the internally displaced persons, seriously hit by the security crisis in the country.

The terrorist attacks have claimed many victims and thousands of internally displaced people in Burkina Faso.
