Coronavirus: Nigeria records 328 new cases, total infections now 11,844

Abuja, Nigeria, June 6 (Infosplusgabon) – Nigeria on Friday recorded 328 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the total number to 11, 844.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said through its official Twitter handle that 10 deaths were recorded in the country, bringing the total number of the dead to 333.

NCDC said that 7,815 are active cases while 3,696 patients have been treated and discharged.

Restating that there is no cure yet for COVID-19, NCDC said that its supportive management of cases involve: management of symptoms, management of pre-existing conditions, supplemental oxygen therapy, treatment of bacterial infection, and ensuring patients that are well-nourished and hydrated.

The NCDC called on Nigerians not to pull their mask down their chin.

“You can speak, cough or sneeze inside your mask, then wash or dispose of it properly,” it said.
