Students in exam classes resume studies in Burkina Faso

Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, June 1 (Infosplusgabon) - Students due to sit for exams resumed classes across Burkina Faso on Monday after more than two months of suspension due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Middle school level students are on vacation and the best averages will be used to pass for upper-classes.

Students in exam classes of primary and secondary schools in the city of Ouagadougou, resumed studies in strict compliance with disease prevention measures.

Some schools have received masks and hand-washing devices from the government.

"We decided to equip every student with two masks, but we are facing a production problem",  Education minister Stanislas Ouaro said.

However, four education unions out of 20 in the country have boycotted the resumption of the school year.
