Coronavirus: Burkina Faso records two new confirmed cases

Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, June 1 (Infosplusgabon) - Two new confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease have been recorded in Burkina Faso, bringing the total number of people infected since 9 March to 883, the Government Information Service (GIS) announced on Monday.

It said of 242 samples tested, two cases were confirmed, both imported. The health authorities also announced six new recoveries, bringing the total to 741.

No deaths were reported, with the death toll remaining at 53, while the number of patients on treatment is 89.
