Tunis Tunisia, June 1 (Infosplusgabon) – The Tunisian gendarmerie on Sunday arrested three Guineans and two Ivorians for illegally crossing into the country from Algeria.
The Director for Health in the centre-western region of Kasserine said that coronavirus tests have been carried out on six other sub-Saharan Africans who had illegally crossed the border.
They have been placed in obligatory health quarantine, health sources said.
In another case, units of the Tunisian army in the region of Benguardane, at the Libyan border, on Friday arrested four Ivorians and three Guineans who crossed into the country from Libya.
Altogether, 1,100 foreigners who crossed the Tunisian land borders illegally have been placed in health confinement centres.
