COVID-19: New Chinese aid expected in Congo to fight coronavirus

Brazzaville, Congo, May 30 (Infosplusgabon) - Chinese ambassador to Congo, Ma Fulin, announced on Saturday in Brazzaville the expected arrival of a major donation to combat the coronavirus pandemic, after a meeting with the President of the Congolese Senate, Pierre Ngolo.

"In the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, China is emphasizing cooperation with Africa, including Congo," said the Chinese diplomat, adding that this donation is offered by the government, localities and certain large organizations in China, in the context of the fight against coronavirus.

As part of this fight against COVID-19, a delegation of Chinese experts has been staying in Congo for a few days.

According to the epidemiological report unveiled on Friday, Congo has a total of 571 confirmed cases of the coronavirus including 161 cured and 19 deaths.
