Nairobi, Kenya, May 30 (Infosplusgabon) - Kenya recorded 143 new coronavirus cases on Saturday, raising the infection tally to 1,888.
Deaths rose to 62 after one person passed on and recovery cases stood at 438.
The Ministry of Health warned Kenyans to brace for an increase in infections, which it projected to peak between June and September.
Health Chief Administrative Secretary Dr.Rashid Aman said Kenya is in a critical period of the pandemic,
He urged people to cooperate in observing social distancing and all other measures imposed to help prevent the spread of the virus.
Dr. Aman also stressed the importance of wearing masks, among other measures, asking Kenyans not to drop their guards.
