COVID-19: Senegal records 83 cases of coronavirus, 59 recoveries

Dakar, Senegal, May 25 (Infosplusgabon)  - Senegal on Monday recorded 83 cases of coronavirus and 59 recoveries, the Ministry of Health and Social Action announced at its daily briefing on the epidemiological situation.

According to the ministry, 83 of 1,091 tests were positive to coronavirus, representing 79 contact cases being treated and 4 cases from community transmission.

In addition, 59 persons tested negative and were released, the ministry said.

To date, Senegal has 3130 positive cases, 1,515 recovered, 35 deaths, 1 evacuated and 1,579 still under treatment.
