Kigali, Rwanda, May 24 (Infosplusgabon) - Rwanda's Muslim community on Sunday organised a televised celebration marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
The event was also streamed live on multiple social media platforms as there is a ban on mass gathering to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Traditionally, the end of Ramadan celebration is celebrated in a congregational service where thousands of Muslims gather at designated places such as stadiums and other public places.
The TV programme thanked all Muslims who donated and helped during the holy month by providing food and thousands of meals to vulnerable communities and families.
Muslims (Sunni) account for 2% of the Rwandan Population according to the Fourth Rwanda Population and Housing Census 2012 (RPHC).
