Tunis, Tunisia, May 24 (Infosplusgabon) - A Tunisian military plane on Saturday flew home 45 Tunisians from Southeast Asia, as the North African country continues to bring home its citizens stranded abroad because of the closure of borders by various countries as part of measures to contain the COVID-19 (coronavirus).

The Tunisian Foreign Ministry said 23 of them came from Thailand, six were from Vietnam and 16 from India.

About 300 other Tunisians, who were stranded in Libya, arrived on Friday night at the Ras Jedir border crossing under rigorous security and sanitary measures.

With this wave of returnees from Libya, the number of people placed in sanitary quarantine in the Medenine region has reached 735.
