Paris, France, May 23 (Infosplusgabon) - UNESCO joins the African Broadcasting Union and the organization Most Beautiful African Dream Academy for Youth (MOBADAY) to celebrate Africa Day, May 25, which will be marked under the slogan 'Together united, together we are WAN'.

The event, revolving around several discussion  themes such as financial inclusion in times of economic slowdown or accelerating the digital transformation of Africa, will stage the WAN Show.

WAN is acronym for Worldwide Afro Network, an initiative to mobilize African civil society and its diaspora to combat the health and social consequences of the coronavirus pandemic.

UNESCO is mobilizing alongside them during the pandemic and beyond," Director General Audrey Azoulay in a press statement.

The day will end with a "concert 2.0" from 7 pm to 9 pm UT, broadcast free at prime time on African national channels and certain private channels with, in particular, the participation of Jimmy Cliff, Oumou Sangaré, Youssou N'dour, Angélique Kidjo, Chris Martin Coldplay, Femi Kuti, Djimon Hounsou, Baaba Maal, Tiken Jah Fakoly, Khadja Nin, Lenin, Calypso Rose, Aït Menguelet, Hiro, Kassav, Salif Keita, Aston Barret Wailers, and Cheick Tidiane Seck.
