Tunis, Tunisia, May 23 (Infosplusgabon) - Tunisia's Ministry of Health late Friday announced two new Covid-19 infections out of 1,320 tests carried out in the country's various laboratories.
Both cases were found on people returning from abroad among repatriated Tunisians.
According to a ministry's statement, there has been 1,048 cases of infection since the beginning of the pandemic, including 903 recoveries, 47 deaths and 98 patients still carrying the virus, three of whom are under surveillance in hospitals.
In view of these positive results, the authorities have moved on to the second phase of general de-confinement by adopting several measures aimed at easing the restrictions imposed so far.
The measures, which will come into force on 4 June, include the reopening of mosques, restaurants, cafes and bars.
