Tunis, Tunisia, May 23 (Infosplusgabon) - Ras Jadir border crossing between Tunisia and Libya was opened on Friday to allow Tunisians stranded in Libya to return to their country.

According to an official Tunisian source in the nearby town of Benguardane, all services were ready to carry out the regulatory measures required of Tunisians returning to the country.

Buses were made available to ferry them to designated centres for sanitary quarantine, the official said.

The opening of the border crossing will also allow 450 Libyans to return home after completing their mandatory sanitary quarantine in a hotel in Zarzis, in south  Tunisia, the source said.

A flight from Gabon landed Friday at Monastir international airport (200 km south of Tunis) carrying 19 Tunisians repatriated from the central African country. They will be placed quarantined at a hotel in Hammamet city, 60 km south of the capital.
