Coronavirus; Ghana records 217 new cases to bring total to 6,486

Accra, Ghana,  May 22 (Infosplusgabon) - Ghana's positive cases of COVID-19 (coronavirus) have jumped up again with 217 new cases bringing the number of confirmed cases to 6,486.

The Ghana Health Service (GHS) said on its website on Thursday night that recoveries have also risen by 53 to 1,951. The number of deaths remains at 31.

Greater Accra Region remains the main epicentre with 4,699 cases, Ashanti Region has 988, Central Region has 287, Western Region has 195 and Eastern Region has 106. Ghana has 16 regions.
