Coronavirus: Ghana's positive cases rise to 6,296

Accra, Ghana, May 21 (Infosplusgabon) - Ghana’s positive cases of COVID-19 (coronavirus) have risen to 6,269 with the addition of 173 new cases, the Ghana Health Service (GHS) announced on Tuesday night.

GHS said on its website that another 125 patients have recovered bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,898.

The number of deaths, however, remain at 31. GHS said eight patients are still in critical condition.

The total number of active cases is 4,340 with about 187,000 tests carried out.

The Greater Accra region still leads with 4,582 confirmed cases, followed by the Ashanti region with 921 cases, Central Region (285) and Western Region (170).
