COVID-19: Congo records 20 new cured, 6 new positive cases

Brazzaville, Congo, May 20 (Infosplusgabon) - The Congolese ministry of Health and Population said here Tuesday the country recorded 20 new cured and six new confirmed cases of the coronavirus (COVID-19) disease.

 

 

This brings the total number of cases of the pandemic recorded to 420, with 132 cured and 15 deaths.

 

Six out of the 12 departments have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, with Brazzaville and Pointe-Noire being the most affected and recording more than 97 percent of the cases.

 

The other departments affected by the pandemic are Kouilou, Pool, Cuvette and Sangha.

 

Three departments in the south of the country, particularly Niari, Bouenza and Lekoumou and that of Plateaux in the center of the country and two in the north, Cuvette-Ouest and Likouala, have not yet recorded any case of coronavirus.
