Tunis, Tunisia,  May 17  (Infosplusgabon) - The chairman of the Tunisian national watchdog of new and emerging diseases (ONMNE), Nissaf Ben Allaya, Saturday deplored the non-respect of prevention measures against the coronavirus (COVID-19) by half the population.

At a news briefing, Mrs Alaya, considered as the kingpin of the fight against the new virus, warned against unjustified gatherings noted since the easing of the general confinement on 4 May.

“Those irresponsible behaviors might trigger a new wave of contaminations and bring us back to the starting point,” she warned, before calling citizens ministry.

After five successive days without any new contamination, three new cases of coronavirus infection were recorded on Friday.

The number of recovered patients reached 802, with188 infections still under observation, three presently hospitalized, and 45 deaths.
