Coronavirus: Ghana's confirmed cases rise by 97, total now 5,735

Accra, Ghana, May 17 (Infosplusgabon) - Ghana's positive cases of coronavirus (COVID-19)have reached 5,735 with the confirmation of 97 more cases, the Ghana Health Service (GHS) announced here late Saturday.

In an update posted on its website, the GHS said 294 more people had recovered, bringing the total to 1,754.

One more patient has passed away with the death toll rising to 29.

Greater Accra Region remains the epicentre with 4,314 while Ashanti Region, another epicenter, has 818.
