Tunis, Tunisia, May 16 (Infosplusgabon) -  The need to stem the spread of the new coronavirus (Covid-19) and the situation in Libya were the focus of a telephone conversation between Tunisian Foreign Minister, Noureddine Erray, and his Canadian counterpart, François Philippe Champagne, a diplomatic source in Tunis said on Friday.

Seizing this opportunity, the head of Tunisian diplomacy praised the efforts of the Canadian authorities to facilitate the repatriation of Tunisians stranded in Canada and other countries in the region, such as Mexico and Cuba.

The two ministers stressed the importance of deepening thoughts on the pandemic and finding the necessary means to resolve its consequences and to meet the social and economic challenges imposed by the pandemic in all countries.

The meeting also allowed the two ministers to discuss regional and international issues of common interest, including the situation in Libya.
