Kigali, Rwanda,  May 16  (Infosplusgabon) - Rwanda's Cabinet meeting is expected to approve more steps relaxing the East African country’s confinement to combat Coronavirus outbreak, an authoritative source confirmed Saturday in Kigali.

It is expected that one resolution from the Cabinet's meeting is likely to allow movement of people and public transport to cross upcountry provinces after Rwandan Health officials reported no new confirmed case acquired through community transmission.

The much awaited announcement will mark the second step to relax the country coronavirus lockdown since the first case was detected in March.

Health Minister, Dr Daniel Ngamije, has said the government may lift restrictions based on a set of criteria. Although he did not elaborate, the growing number of people discharged from hospitals is giving confidence that the country will announce new measures to ease ongoing partial lockdown.
