Femafoot decides to resume Mali first division championship

Bamako, Mali, May 9 (Infosplusgabon) - The Malian football federation (FEMAFOOT) decided, after an emergency meeting, to resume the national first division championship and the Mali Cup, without giving an exact date of this resumption, We learned from sport source.

Interrupted since the 21 March, the national championship as well as the Mali Cup, interrupted at the stage of the round of 16 on March 15, will continue, according to the governing body FEMAFOOT.

FEMAFOOT indicated that they will continue as soon as the health situation of the country, due to coronavirus, will allow it in accordance with the instructions decreed by the political authorities.

At the end of these competitions, the Malian representatives to the various African games of the clubs will be known.

The winner of the championship will represent Mali in the African Champions League while the winner of the Mali Cup will compete for the CAF Cup.
