Coronavirus: Congo records 14 new confirmed cases, 12 recoveries

Brazzaville, Congo, May 9  (Infosplusgabon) - The national technical coordinator of the coronavirus response committee in Congo, Dr. Gilbert Ndziessi, announced in Brazzaville that Congo recorded 14 new confirmed cases and 12 new recoveries on Saturday.

In total, the country has 288 confirmed cases, 45 recovered cases and 10 deaths from Covid-19.

Six of the country's 12 departments are affected by the pandemic.

The capital, Brazzaville, and Pointe-Noire, the country's main economic centre to the south, are the epicentre of the disease.
