Coronavirus: 41 new confirmed cases registered in Burkina Faso

Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, May 9 (Infosplusgabon) - Burkina Faso recorded 41 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease on Wednesday, bringing to 729 the number of positive cases since 9 March, the government information service (SIG) announced.

Out of 215 samples tested, 41 new confirmed cases have been recorded, including 35 imported cases (from Niger) and six community transmissions (4 in Ouagadougou and 2 in Bobo-Dioulasso), the SIG said.

It said seven recoveries were registered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 555, total deaths 48, and 126 active cases under treatment.

Of the 729 cases confirmed, 273 of them are women and 456 men.
