Mali Meteorology agency forecasts sharp rise in temperature from 4-10 May

Bamako, Mali, May 5  (Infosplusgabon) - Mali's meteorological services agency has  forecast maximum temperature of between 38°c and 47°c in the country from 4-10 May 2020.

According to a press release issued on Tuesday by the communication unit of the Ministry of Transport and Urban Mobility, the high temperature is expected in the northern regions of Ménaka and Gao, varying between 19°c and 32°c.

 

The Mali Meteorology agency forecasts the same temperatures next week, with the possibility of rain in mid-week for the district of Bamako as well as the regions of Sikasso (south), Ségou and Mopti (centre) and Koulikoro (north-east).

 

In all regions and the district of Bamako, the low intensity wind will blow from the north and south-west at times in the regions of Sikasso, the south of Kayes (west), Koulikoro and Segou.

 

According to the forecast, people should expect a variation in visibility of 4 to 7 km in the northern regions of Timbuktu, Taoudenit, Gao, Ménaka and Kidal, and 8 to 10 km in the regions of Kayes, Koulikoro, Sikasso, Ségou, Mopti and the district of Bamako.
