Tunis, Tunisia,  May 4  (Infosplusgabon) - Tunisia recorded four new confirmed cases of the new coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the total number of infections to 1,013, the Tunisian Ministry of Health announced on Sunday.

The new cases were recorded from a sample of 351 laboratory tests carried out on Saturday, including 59 tests for monitoring former patients, the ministry said. It added that 24,406 virological tests have been conducted since the start of the pandemic.

The first stage of the targeted health de-confinement starts on Monday in Tunisia, and continues until 24 May with the resumption of 50 per cent of activities in the civil service and general administration, industries, services, public works and construction work.

This first stage of the targeted health de-confinement also foresees 100 per cent resumption of activities in the liberal professions, while small trading and commercial activities, with the exception of hair salons, beauty salons, clothing and footwear stores, will resume their activities on 11 May.

The resumption of other activities is scheduled during the second and third stages of the targeted health de-confinement planned, respectively, from 24 May to 4 June and from 4-14 June, when all economic activities will gradually resume.
