Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, May 2 (Infosplusgabon) - The curfew has been extended in the eastern region of Burkina Faso due to the persistence of terrorist attacks, said a statement from regional authorities.
Due to the negative development of the regional security situation marked by both aggression and terrorist threats, the curfew is extended until Thursday, July 2, 2020, said the statement.
In the town of Fada, the curfew hours range from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. and from 7:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. for other localities in the region.
“Faced with this complex security challenge, the governor invites all the populations to strictly respect this measure and to collaborate with the defense and security forces so that together, we can participate in building lasting peace in the region," the statement added.
