Coronavirus: Senegal records 91 new cases, 12 recoveries

Dakar, Senegal, May 2 (Infosplusgabon) - Senegal Saturday recorded 91 new confirmed cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) and 12 new recoveries, the ministry of Health and Social Action announced at its daily press briefing here.

According to the ministry, 91 of the 1,190 tests were positive to coronavirus. They comprised 87 contact cases being treated and four cases from community transmission.

To date, Senegal has recorded 1,115 positive cases, 368 cured patients, nine dead, one evacuated and 737 still under treatment.

These include four serious cases being treated in resuscitation centres at Fann University Hospital and Dakar's Principal Hospital.
