Coronavirus: Nigeria records 238 new cases, total now 2,170

Abuja, Nigeria, May 2  (Infosplusgabon) - The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Friday announced 238 new confirmed cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 2,170.

The NCDC also announced 32 recoveries and 10 deaths.

 

According to NCDC’s Twitter handle, “238 new cases of #COVID19; 92-Kano, 36-FCT, 30-Lagos, 16-Gombe, 10-Bauchi, 8-Delta, 6-Oyo, 5-Zamfara, 5-Sokoto, 4-Ondo, 4-Nasarawa, 3-Kwara, 3-Edo, 3-Ekiti, 3-Borno, 3-Yobe, 2-Adamawa, 1-Niger, 1-Imo, 1-Ebonyi,1-Rivers, 1-Enugu. As at 11.30pm 1st of May, 2,170 confirmed cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria with 351 discharged and 68 deaths.

 

“As of May 1st 2020, 34 States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Nigeria have recorded at least one confirmed case of #COVID19. On the 1st of May 2020, 238 new confirmed cases and ten deaths were recorded in Nigeria, with no new State has reported a case in the last 24 hours

 

“For a breakdown of confirmed cases by States, as at 11:30pm May; Lagos State currently had 1006, FCT-214, Kano-311, Ogun-56 Osun-34, Gombe-92 Katsina-40, Borno-63, Edo-43, Oyo-29, Kwara-14, Akwa Ibom-16, Bauchi-48, Kaduna-30, Ekiti-11, Ondo-13, Delta-17, Rivers-14, Jigawa-7, Enugu-4, Niger-3, Abia-2, Zamfara-9, Sokoto-41, Benue-1, Anambra-1, Adamawa-4, Plateau-1, Imo-2, Taraba 8, Bayelsa 5, Ebonyi 3, Kebbi 2, Nasarawa-7, Yobe 4.”
