Coronavirus: Senegal records 91 new cases and 22 recoveries

Dakar, Senegal, May 1  (Infosplusgabon) - Senegal announced on  Friday that it has recorded 91 new confirmed cases of coronavirus and 22 new recoveries, the Ministry of Health and Social Action announced at its daily press briefing.

According to the ministry, 91 of 901 tests were positive made up of 88 contact cases being treated and 3 cases from community transmission, while 22 patients tested negative and have recovered.

To date, Senegal has 1,024 positive cases, composed of 356 recovered patients, 9 dead, 1 evacuated and 658 still under treatment.

Two serious cases are currently being treated in resuscitation services at Fann University Hospital and Dakar's Principal Hospital, the ministry said.
