Coronavirus: Tunisia's confirmed cases up by 14 to 994

Tunis, Tunisia, May 1  (Infosplusgabon) - Tunisia has recorded 14 new confirmed cases of the new coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the total number to 994, the Tunisian Ministry of Health announced on Thursday night.

The 14 new cases were recorded from a sample of 895 laboratory tests, 108 of which were conducted as part of the follow-up of former patients, the ministry said.

The total number of deaths recorded since the beginning of the pandemic is 41 with a new death on Thursday, it said, adding that 22,957 tests have been carried out to date.

The ministry called on people to fully comply with general health containment and quarantine measures in all the regions to stem the spread of the deadly virus.
