Coronavirus: Gabon to extend state of emergency in face of virus resurgence

Libreville, Gabon, April 25 (Infosplusgabon) - Faced with an increase in the number of COVID-19 positive cases, the Gabonese government is to ask Parliament to extend the state of health emergency, an official source  said on Saturday.

The monitoring committee of the alert and response plan against the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic on Friday announced the death of a gynecologist who had been admitted at the intensive care unit for three weeks.

As at Friday cases of the pandemic, which is progressing fast, stood at 167 confirmed, 24 cured and two deaths.
